I first met Steffi about 12 years ago at a Zumba class in Cardiff, our eyes locked and we became friends immediately.

Over the years we would have coffee in my kitchen, our chats were full of laughter and sometimes sad memories.
I always enjoyed her company, but wished we could have spent more time together, sadly that was not to be.

In 2020 we booked a holiday in Berlin, I was really excited, but due to Covid we had to cancel the holiday.
I was heartbroken to hear of her passing.

I will never forget her. Steffi had a prescence that was special, always a smiling face.
"Steffi, it was a privilage to have know you, love and respect, sleep sweetly my friend.

Dear Aunt Steffi,
It's so indescribably sad, and I still can't believe you're gone.
One small consolation is that I can keep so many wonderful memories of you. Our visits to you, your visits to us, our conversations. I'll miss all of that very much.
Every time I was at your house in Cardiff, I felt like I was coming home. Which is actually strange, but I attribute it to the fact that you gave me that feeling. You were like a grandmother also to Kilian, Elias, and Valentina.
A few days ago, Valentina wore the dress we bought together in Cardiff, and we both cried...
also love looking at the photos from when we were at our alpine pasture and from your birthday party.
Thank you so much for everything you gave us. Your warmth, your uncomplicated nature, your humor, your sense of family, and much more will never be forgotten. YOU will never be forgotten.
My whole family's hearts go out to Heidi and Ingrid and to you, dear aunt.
May you be protected and comforted.

With love,
Michaela, Toni, Kilian, Elias, and Valentina

Ruhe in Frieden. Dein Bruder Sepp und Lillibeth x

A Tribute to My Beloved Friend Steffi

Dearest Steffi, my lifelong and faithful friend,
I will always miss you and ache for you. It fills me with deep sorrow to know that you are no longer with us.

With profound gratitude, I reflect on the many years of our friendship — how you welcomed us into your life and made us part of your family. You loved and cared for my children as if they were your own. The Christmases we spent with you, Alec, Heidi, and Ingrid were the heart of our holidays.

You baked the most wonderful cakes for our children’s birthdays and were present at every celebration, every church event, always with warmth and generosity. You and your family were woven into the fabric of our lives — an irreplaceable part of our story.

I can’t believe I will never hear your voice again on this earth, but I hold onto the hope and promise that we will meet again one day in the heavens.

Until then, rest peacefully, my dear friend.
I will carry your memory always, with all my love.
❤️
Your Swiss friend
