John StuartORMEIt is with great sadness that the family announce that John passed away suddenly on Friday 16th May, aged 85 years.

The darling husband of Janet for 61 years, a beloved father of Joanne and Stuart, loved father-in-law of Collette and Lee and the adored Grandad of Thomas, Emma, Joseph and Florence.

Son of the late Archie and Florence, and brother of the late Eileen and Freda, John was also a loved brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle.

A retired engineer, John worked for Rolls-Royce for 44 years. John was also a friend to many, within the village and further afield.

The family wish to convey their sincere thanks to all the neighbours in St. Michael's Close who helped John.

A funeral service for John will be held on Thursday 26 June at St. Michael's Church, Willington, at 12:15pm, followed by committal at Trent Valley Crematorium at 1:30pm. All are welcome. Family flowers only please, however donations in loving memory of John may be given at the service these will go on to support The British Heart Foundation.
