I remember Uncle Graham talking to me about carpentry and joinery as that was the career I was following too. We always had something to talk about

The first time I met Graham it was at his mother’s house. I was engaged to his older brother, Anthony. I was wearing a pair of knee high boots in a soft lilac suede. I loved them. I thought I was the ‘bees knees’ I was 19 ish so Graham must have been about 17. He looked at my boots and said that boots should be black - not purple!!! Cheeky monkey!
