John EdmundHOPKINSBorn Seaforth 5th June 1933, died peacefully at Ivy Gate Lodge Care Home, Southport on Monday 11th August 2025 aged 92 years.

Johns family are eternally grateful for the care given by Ivy Gate Lodge during his final weeks.

John had been a lifelong member of the Railway Correspondence & Travel Society (RCTS) including holding the position of secretary for over 20 years in the area of Merseyside.

John leaves behind his wife Jill, son Ian, daughters Pam and Debbie, grandchildren, Megan, William, Laura and great grandchild Nancy.

The funeral service for John will be held at West Lancs Crematorium on Monday 1st September 2025 at 11am.

Family flowers only only please, but donations are welcomed to the

Alzheimer's Society or Cancer Research UK.

I worked with John many years ago in DER, he was a lovely chap, very respectful, helpful and kind. I know he talked so fondly of his family and it was evident he adored them. I will remember John as the kind gentleman he was, it was a pleasure to call him a colleague.
RIP John . I extend my sympathy to his family.
