Gillan DouglasHARPERWe are sad to announce the death of Gillan (Gil) Douglas Harper on 2nd May 2025. Loving husband to Ann, beloved Father to Victoria and Jamie and Grandad Gil to Luca and Leo.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday 27th May at 1:15pm at Rushcliffe Oaks Crematorium, Cotgrave.

Family flowers only and, if wished, donations to the Nottinghamshire Hospice or Macmillan's.

Artist, musician and brilliant dad and Grandad Gil (not Gill!). Lover of history, the garden and the Blues. Hater of fuss. The 'wacky storyteller' (copyright: his grandchildren) who was a true original. How loved you were (and still are) and how interesting you made of our lives. Thank you for showing us the way and we will never forget: 'if you want to get ahead, get a hat'
