John PorterfieldGIBBONSJohn ( retired Detective Sergeant ) passed away peacefully in Rake Lane Hospital, on the 5th of August, aged 85.
Beloved husband to Ellen for 64 years. Loving Father to James, John & the late Gillian, father in law to Helen & the late Lisa. Proud Grandfather to Patrick, Arthur & Eleanor, much loved brother, uncle & cousin & friend to many.
All welcome at Whitley Bay Crematorium on Thursday 28th August at 1.30pm.
Family flowers only please, donations, in lieu on the day, will benefit Macmillan Nurses. All welcome afterwards to raise a glass and celebrate John's life, at The Deleval Arms.
John was truly loved and will be sadly missed.
