Wyn was a kind & thoughtful gentleman & a good friend to many. He loved his dogs & I hope he is up there now walking with his beloved border collies.

My heart will be with you tomorrow Wyn Bach. Sorry I can't be there. My memories of our schooldays in Caernarfon and of course the days we met for a cuppa in Bolton Market. I had the pleasure of welcoming Wyn, a fellow Welshman, to the Age Concern cafe in Bolton’s town centre, many many times during my tenure as the charity’s Chief Executive. He’d often bring in produce from his allotment for us to use. I also had the privilege of appearing on television with him, in a special programme broadcast by S4C, to celebrate his legendary professional achievements as a top level footballer. What a privilege, and without doubt, a high point of my career. He was a true gentleman in every sense, much loved across his adopted home turf. He was also a true and very proud son of Wales.
