Joan ElizabethBARBERAt rest on 26th July 2025, after a long illness borne with great dignity and patience; Joan, aged 87 years of Bagnall.
Dearly loved and devoted wife of the late Cyril, loving mum of John and daughter-in-law Cathie, adored Nan of Andrew, Becky and Sarah and a very special 'Nannan Joan' to George, Rosie and Grace. A treasured sister to Mary and the late Frank. Joan will be a much missed auntie, sister-in-law, cousin and friend to many.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Bagnall Heights for their years of loving care to Joan, and more recently to the Douglas Macmillan Hospice at home team and district nurses.
Joan's funeral service and cremation will take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Monday 18th August at 12pm. Family and friends wishing to attend please meet at Carmountside. Formal black attire is not required, please feel free to wear something colourful.
Family flowers only please. Donations can be given in memory of Joan to The Douglas Macmillan Hospice and Alzheimer's Research UK.
