Reginald ThomasPENNEY02.10.1932 - 18.06.1996 If I always got what I wanted, And it was all so easy to do; I'd pray that on your birthday, I could sit and talk to you; The stories that I'm keeping, And tales I long to share; We'd sit and talk for hours, Without the slightest care; We take each day for granted, They all pass by so fast; But when it comes to parting , I wish that they would last. It's hard to come to terms with, You are no longer here; That's why I write this message, To show you I still care. I wish that I could hold you, And whisper "I love you", It's something that I think about, And always long to do. I realise your with me, Each and every day, And that we still communicate, In our special way; Until the day when we will meet, And never be apart; I'll keep on sending messages, Written from my heart; I'll live my life and carry on, And try not to be sad; Happy birthday to the best, I'll always love you Dad - from your children.
