The loss of a true gentleman

I read this notice today with complete shock that Tony had passed away. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Tony for a number of years and he was a man for whom I had and still have the utmost respect and admiration. Tony was passionate about Castle Morpeth and his team, he wasn't frightened to be passionate and ambitious for the borough and it's staff and he was quite simply a true gent. On a personal level Tony showed great interest in my personal development as an a officer and he was an inspiration to me. I'm am deeply saddened at his passing and my sincere condolences and sympathies go to his wife Pam and the family. Northumberland has lost a real star, we have lost a colleague but we should all be grateful for his life and his contribution to society. May he rest in peace. David Hall.
