Annie JosephineWILKINSOn 16th March 2022, Annie (Ann) Josephine Wilkins, 94, previously of Spring Street, Rishton, passed away peacefully at McAuley Mount Care Home, Burnley. Wife of the late Leslie and mother of the late Paul. Mother-in-law of Debbie and Ann, grandmother of Helen, Paul, Darrell and Rebecca, great-grandmother of Jack and Emilie and auntie of Marie. Born 14th March 1928, the youngest girl of 8 siblings, Ann was raised in Blackburn before marrying and moving to Rishton where she worked at Broadloom Carpet factory for over 30 years. Ann was well known in Rishton and a long-time member of the congregation at St. Charles' RC Church. Ann was devoted to her family, providing unwavering love and support all through her life. Following retirement, she enjoyed holidays with friends and family as well as her usual nights out in Blackburn playing Bingo! A Requiem Mass will be held at McAuley Mount on Friday 1st April at 10.15am followed by committal at Burnley Crematorium at 11:30am. Family flowers only; donations if desired can be made to McAuley Mount c/o Alderson & Horan Funeral Services 128 Rossendale Road Burnley, BB11 5DH, 01282 427483.
