Martyn, you have been a true light in my life and for my family. I am profoundly grateful for the years of friendship and the steadfast way you stood by me during my darkest hours. I will never forget the grace and care you brought to my great aunt’s service when things were difficult, nor the strength you provided when I lost my dad and my uncles.
Even when your own path was steep, you reflected God’s light through every valley, living out the truth that 'Our God is Awesome.' You were truly wonderful. I’m so sorry we missed our last coffee, but I am holding our best memories close today—until we sit together at the table one day 🦅
Love always to Cathy, Charly, Natty, Tommy and Holly Xxxxx

Martyn was such a kind, sweet, joyful, steady, good man.
Having lived for a period with the Westbys and had many lunches at their home when I lived in Hull, I remember him fondly and am grateful for how he welcomed me along with Cathy to a new city and supported me during my time there.
Such love and respect for the difference he has made to others and how he chose to live his life, like Jesus. X

What a truly wonderful man Martyn. You always had a listening ear and good sound advice which I’ll never forget. You always welcomed me into the church despite being a lapsed member. Such a truly spiritual man who always gave selflessly to others. Gone too soon. You will never be forgotten. RIP Martyn 🌹
