Finlay CookWATERSDied peacefully, after a short battle with Leukaemia, on Monday 10th July 2023 at St Vincent's Hospice, Howwood. Finlay was the dearly loved husband of Marilyn, and twin brother of Mary. He was a good man who enriched all our lives with his warmth and his kind and gentle nature. The funeral service, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited, will take place at Woodside Crematorium, Paisley, on Tuesday 25th July at 12 noon. No flowers please.

My darling Finlay, a picture of us both on our last Christmas Day together when we were housebound with Covid.
‘Just us chickens’, but a perfect day nevertheless as we were together.
We never suspected that this would be our last Christmas together.

Three years have passed since then, almost two and a half of them without you.
No day can ever be perfect again, my love, for you are no longer here at my side.

We were friends and equals first, and that smoothed our path into a very happy marriage. A matching pair, in your words.

I lost you a year ago today and it feels like yesterday and it feels like forever.
