RogerTURNERROGER THE GAS Local British Gas front-man and celebrated DJ of Denby. Distinguished, respected and almost residential patron of The Bulls Head, passed away peacefully on Sunday 18th January 2015 aged (believe it or not) 64 years. Husband to Wendi and proud father to Matt and Oli. Also brother to siblings and their partners, Diane and Shaun, Jenny and Bruce, Angela and Denis, Paul and Julie. Also, uncle to nineteen nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Roger requests that all who knew him and worked with him attend his 'final resting do', like all good 'all-dayers' starting early, at St Alban's Roman Catholic Church, Chaddesden on Monday 9th February at 9.15am and Swanwick Crematorium (optional) before heading off for one last session! Roger also requests that all his guests wear a splash of colour and a smile to celebrate his colourful life and matching personality. For all those who still remain..."Every day's a bonus!" Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Roger will be gratefully received for Derby Hospitals Charitable Trust and the Arthur Medical Centre Equipment Fund. Further enquiries to the Co-operative Funeralcare, 5 Nottingham Road, Ripley. Tel 01773 570136

Just would like to say how much you are missed Roger, There is not a day goes by where we don't think of you....Just driving by your house is not the same because you are not there...Going to the pub is not the same because you are not there.Who would have thought one person not being around any more could make so much impact on our lives but it does.......One year ago today so many tears were shed and now we hope that you are at rest........FOREVER in our thoughts,.....R.I.P Roger the Gas x

Wendi, Matt, Oli and Roger's family, would like to thank everyone who attended to pay their respects and celebrate Roger's life, on Monday 9th February 2015.
We were proud to share the day with so many people, it was overwhelming, but also of great comfort to us all.
Also many thanks for the generous donations in memory of Roger, the hundreds of cards that came through our letterbox ( the dog even stopped barking in response to hearing another card drop onto the doormat, he became so used to the sound!)and the immense kindness and support we have received from neighbours and friends, too numerous to mention.
Roger would be so touched xxxx
