RaymondSWINDELLIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Swindell, who passed away peacefully on 8th November 2025 at Shelton Lock Care Home, aged 88 years.

A devoted husband to Dulcie, dearly loved dad to Ian and the late Neil, and a much-loved grandad to Madie. He was a cherished brother to Margaret and the late Ted, and a loyal friend to many. He dedicated his working life to the Derby Carriage Works, and will be remembered for his humour and kindness. The funeral service will take place at Markeaton Crematorium on Wednesday 17th December at 10.30am, followed by a celebration of his life at The Queens Head, Ockbrook, from midday. All who knew him are warmly invited to attend and share their memories.

Family flowers only, Donations in lieu of flowers for Alzheimer's Society may be given at the service or online at funeral-notices.co.uk.
