In Loving Memory
Although I only had the chance to be with her a few times, she left a lasting impression on me. At 90 years old, she had a warmth and spark that made every moment in her company feel special. She was affectionate, full of life, and had a delightful sense of humour that made her stories all the more vivid.
She gifted me a few things she had lovingly made with her own hands – beautiful pieces crafted from wool – which I still keep with great fondness. She also gave me a few books, knowing how much I enjoy reading, just as she did. It was something we deeply connected over.
What I will miss most are our conversations – those precious moments where she shared parts of her life with me, full of memories, laughter, and wisdom. I didn’t know her for long, but she touched my heart in a quiet, meaningful way. I feel lucky to have known her, even briefly.
She will be missed.
Forever grateful for having known her,
Vanessa Ramos
