GeoffreySPENCER-SMITHGeoff passed away very peacefully on 5th October 2025, in a local nursing home. He was the fourth of six siblings, with all but his younger brother Paul having sadly preceded him. He was greatly loved by his wife Sheila for 68 very happy years. He was adored and loved by his children Chris and his wife Ness, Michael and his wife Deborah, Fiona, and Richard, and by his grandchildren Karina, Matthew, Jonathan, Geoffrey, Michael, Jules and Dom. More latterly he was blessed to be grandpa to his great grandchildren William, Beatrix, Zadie, Joshua, Levi, Peter, Kaia, Laila and Sarah. Geoff guided and cherished his family for as long as he could, and he can now rest in peace knowing he did his very best for his loved ones. There will be a cremation service in Devon for the family followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for Geoff's life on Monday 27th October at 2pm at St Mary's Church Burton Bradstock Dorset, where he lived with Sheila for the last 35 years. Everyone who knew Geoff is very welcome to attend the church service.
It was Geoff's dearest wish that donations, if desired be given in lieu of flowers to Mission Aviation Fellowship by retiring collection sent to:
LeRoy Funerals 10 Alphington Road, Exeter, EX2 8HH or online at www.leroyfunerals.co.uk

Thank you for being such an amazing Grandad and for leading our family for such a long time.

You and Grandma were so welcoming and I always looked forward to coming to visit. Whether it was for Christmas, a birthday, an anniversary or popping over on the weekend, it was always a happy time.

I will always look back fondly on our trips to Crete where we all had such a wonderful time relaxing, eating out at tavernas and playing cards in the evenings. It was the company that made the holidays so special.

I will be thinking of you today, and the countless happy memories we made in the future.

Lots of love always, Dom xxx

Grandad,

You were loved by many and lived a long, happy life, something to be proud of. I'm grateful for the time we spent together. I loved talking about your book collection, and I'll remember reading through the pile of computer magazines while you played your favourite Mahjong game.

I'll also fondly remember our Christmas celebrations, which wouldn't be complete without your delicious Yorkshire puddings.

Rest in peace.

Love Jules and Ching x
Jules
