MariaSLATERMaria aged 69 years of Macclesfield, peacefully passed away in hospital on Monday 30th June 2025. Much loved wife of John and loving mum of Adam, she will be sadly missed by all her family, friends and former work colleagues.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday 30th July 2025 with a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Maria at Macclesfield Crematorium at 2.45pm. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent for Lower Moss Wood.

This is Richard Sutton writing from Italy with heavy heart upon the news of Maria's sad passing. She was my oldest sister's best friend and a work colleague. When my sister was terminally ill, Marie sat with her through many a night caring for her and near the end Catherine said too me Maria is my rock. She was at Cath's funeral and l said that my family owed her a debt that could never be repaid. God bless you Maria for being one of these people who made such a difference but never expected anything in return
