Sylvia JeanSHIREPassed peacefully away at Oak Lodge Care Home on Tuesday 28th April 2026, aged 95 years.
Much loved Mum to Alison, Nan to her 3 grandchildren and Nanny Shire to her 3 great-grandchildren.
Formerly of Norton sub-Hamdon, South Petherton and Ilminster Sylv loved dancing with good friends at the Tuesday Tea Dance Club and spending time with family. More recently, singing became her passion and even as memory faded, the music remained with her.
She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
The funeral service will be held at Yeovil Crematorium on Friday 29th May 2026 at 11:20am.
Family flowers only please, but if you'd like to make a donation, either the Alzheimer's Society ('Singing for the Brain') or the Tuesday Tea Dance Club will help causes which were close to Sylv's heart.
