Dear Meme,
though we haven't seen each other since we were girls, hearing of your passing has touched me more than I was prepared for. When I've thought of you and Tonia over the years, I always pictured you as I last saw you... a very pretty girl with a bright smile and twinkling eyes... always friendly and chatty. I looked up to you. Rest well, dear cousin, knowing that you were loved by many, near and far.

Meme was so much more than a neighbour to us. She was a friend, and one of those people you simply knew would be there if you needed her.
She was our go-to person for our Telecare buzzer alarms, and that was just Meme all over — helpful, dependable, caring and always ready to step in.
She radiated happiness, love and humour. She was so very human and so very loveable, and that wonderful smile of hers could brighten my whole day.
Meme helped everyone. She once told me that working with the young disabled people at Blooming Gardeners was the best job she had ever had, even though she was a qualified physiotherapist. That said so much about her. She loved people, and she gave so much of herself to them.
It is very hard to imagine our little corner of the world without her in it.
Meme has left a huge hole in the world, and in the hearts of so many people who loved her. We will miss her more than words can say.
