Tony always made me feel welcome when I visited the Rayments. I remember numerous (often silly) conversations in Monty Python voices, and being impressed by the variety of hats and books he seemed to have around the place.
I particularly liked that Tony liked his sport on tv - something I’ve always been very fond of too. No one in my family was into sport, so it was nice to go round to Tone’s and talk a bit of whatever was on that day.
We (Will, Em, Matt and me) would occasionally impersonate Tony’s distinctive and resonant voice, in gentle jest. I suspect we still will, in time.
Much love and thoughts to all the family.
I sign off with the nickname that Tony was the first to give me: Danners.
