Peter JohnRAPSON-WOODSTOCKaged 79 years, died on Friday, March 13, at his home in Accrington.
He leaves his children Helen, Joshua, David, Thomas, Chantelle and Ruth, children by marriage Lee, Donna, Olubunmi and Ariel, grandchildren Shane, Robin, Leo, Isobelle, Eri, Abigail, Emma, Liam, Noah and Jobe, brother Stuart, nephew Andrew and niece Katie.
He was an accountant for much of his life including a two-year appointment in the island nation of Kiribati. Peter was a regular attendee at Cambridge Street Methodist Church and a local preacher. Member of Clayton-Le-Moors Harriers running club, regular attendee at the pubs and nightclubs of Accrington where he earned his title 'Raving Pete'. Peter was a keen lover of the countryside and regularly took trips to Scotland where he cycled much of the highlands. An avid reader and collector of books always keen to expand his knowledge. A lover of all music from Wagner to Eminem and was regularly seen performing at local karaoke nights.
Peter's funeral service will take place at Cambridge Street Methodist Church, Accrington on Tuesday, March 31, at 12.45pm prior to committal at Accrington Crematorium.
