The obituary notice of Desmond (Dessie) QUINN

I’m so sorry I can’t be there to say goodbye — I’m stuck in Ireland with my dad who’s unwell (as elderly fathers have a habit of keeping us right where we’re needed), and I’m truly gutted to miss the final goodbye 💚💚

I’ll be passing through Mountcharles today and will be raising a proper Irish glass to Des instead — I’m sure he’d fully approve. 🥃🥃

Gone but never forgotten Dessie, I have so many great memories of you, I couldn’t have wished for a better Father-in-Law.

I will miss you, rest easy big man.

Dessie gave me a bike he brought from london in the late 1950’s it was a blue and white Racer and he also taught me to ride it , it was like getting my first car.

Sleep peacefully grandad. You’ve taken a piece of my heart with you. Feels weird coming to the house and you not being sat in your seat watching the tv on mute because you had guests. We will take care of Nan for you.
