Rita CarolPOWELL (NEE MAHONEY)It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rita. Rita passed away peacefully with her family at her side on 1st April, aged 82 years. Forever the loving wife of the late Brian, adored mother, grandmother and great grandmother to so many. Cherished sister, sister-in-law, cousin, aunty and great aunt. A wonderful friend and neighbour. She will be sorely missed. Her funeral service will be held by invitation only at St Joseph’s Catholic Church at 11am on Friday April 30th. At 10:15am, the funeral cortege will leave Manor Street to be driven along Whitchurch Road pausing at St Joseph’s Club (10.20am) and onto North Road stopping at St Joseph’s Primary school (10.30am). Proceeding along North Road onto Crown Way and back onto Whitchurch Road to arrive at St Josephs Church at 10.45am. If you wish to be in attendance to pay your respects for the drive by along the route (see image below), you are welcome and please do so with social distancing in mind. Family flowers only, any donations in lieu of flowers can be made to www.crowdfunder.co.uk/in-memory-of-rita-powell to raise funds for St Joseph’s Primary school.
