I had the privilege to work with Steve when employed by the Shaw Trust in 2012. A deeply compassionate, kind and incredibly funny man who had me in stitches with laughter on many occasions. So saddened to hear that he has been taken from us by this awful illness. The world is definitely a poorer place without him. X

His family in Australia have just learned of the sad news. Our thoughts are with family and friends in the UK and are so sorry at time like these the miles separate us. You are in our hearts.

So sad to hear of the passing of Steve. A gentleman who I had the honour of serving with as a trustee of MNDA

Rest in peace Steven. Taken from this world far too soon by this cruel disease which you faced with such courage and humour. It was a privilege to have worked with you and known you. You will be missed by all who knew you. Sending sympathy to all your family xx
