MargaretNEWTON(Nee JELLIMAN) My dearest Marg, it is 25 years since I saw you and I didn't know what to write. Then I found a card you wrote to Auntie Ann which shows your beautiful, sweet nature more than I can possibly do. THE SONG OF THE GORSE FAIRIES When gorse is out of blossom (It's prickles bare of gold) Then kissing's out of fashion Said country-folk of old. Now Gorse is in its glory In May when skies are blue, But when its time is over, What ever shall we do? O dreary would the world be, With everyone grown cold - Forlorn as prickly bushes Without their fairy gold! But this will never happen: At every time of year You'll find one bit of blossom - A kiss from someone dear! Dear Auntie Ann, I thought you might like this card because you are one of those rare and special creatures - an incurable romantic! I hope reading it gives you as much pleasure as it gave me. Lots of Love, Margaret xxx I will not forget you, Marg. I have carved you in the palm of my hand. Lots of Love always, Your Marie. xxx Dearest Marg, cannot believe we have been without you for 25 years. You are missed and loved always, Mum, John and family xxx
