Bill was a good friend always bright and cheerful. When I started work (1962) he did so much to keep me on the right track. I have many happy memories of our years at Caudwells.

My favorite memory of uncle Bill was playing in the garden with Gary, Karen and Joanne and uncle Bill chasing us. Whilst lovely auntie marrion was cooking tea, wonderful memories 💖

My most endearing memory of Uncle Bill was Sunday lunch at Granny West's. Us kids had eaten hours ago and when the chaps all came back from the pub after 3pm we all used to hover around them hoping for a morsel more. The favourite bit used to be the gravy crust around the edge of the plate. Uncle Bill never disappointed and always shared this boon with all us kids. Such a lovely quiet, kind man. 💙
