Janice Wells & Anita JagerIN LOVING MEMORY OFOF JANICE WELLS & ANITA JAGER Two lovely Nottingham girls who lost their lives fifty years ago on 20th December 1972 in a tragic accident whilst on tour with Holiday On Ice in Prague. Their dreams of life as professional Ice Skating Stars had only just begun, after years of hard work throughout childhood in perfecting their figure skating skills at the Nottingham Ice Rink, wining credit and and awards along the way. Such a sad and tragic loss. They were so young, just eighteen and nineteen years old, full of the zest of life. As they rest together in Beeston Cemetery they are never forgotten, always in our thoughts. Remembered by Tony Smith & Peter Brown, their old Showbiz friends. Photograph courtesy of Tony Smith

They say 'Time is a great healer' ... I'm still awaiting to be healed fifty three years later. The loss of Janice and Anita to me and the wider world will forever be an open wound. They are permanently in the bliss of Heaven I believe they should be.
Bless them ... never forgotten, forever loved and missed.
From your old Showbiz friends, Peter Brown and Tony Smith.
