JeanHOUNKPATINIt is with great sadness we announce, that Jean passed away suddenly at home on the 24th of May 2026, aged 94 years.

Much loved wife of André, cherished mum of Christine and the late Andrew, mother in law of Carolyn, treasured by Matthew and Phoebe, Alexandar and Pippa, Amelia, sadly missed by Michel and Jean's extended family in West Africa.

Would friends please meet at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe for committal on Thursday the 25th of June 2026 at 12.40pm, prior to a celebration of her life being held at Messingham Methodist Chapel at 1.30pm.

Family flowers only please, but donations would be gratefully accepted for "Macmillan Cancer Support" c/o

(Auntie) Jean was a wonderful friend all her life to our parents and us for over 60 years. She was the most caring person you could ever meet and a wonderful teacher to young children in her younger years. It was always a joy to have a good chat with her, although you always came away stuffed from the many cakes!! We are all the poorer for her passing and she will always be missed. Our condolences to Andre', Christine and the rest of the family. Stephen, Cath and Alex.
