John BarryHODSON O.B.E. C.ENG F.R.AE.SAfter a short illness John Hodson passed away in Elche Spain on 5 March, he was 89 years old. John joined Rolls-Royce as an apprentice in 1949. He was commissioned into the RAF in 1955 for his National Service where he became a pilot, flying Vampire and Hastings aircraft. John returned to Rolls-Royce in 1957 working in the UK and the USA. He retired in 1996 as the Senior Vice President Marketing and Board member for Rolls-Royce Inc in the USA. In 2006 John moved to Spain with his wife Jean. He will be sadly missed by Jean, his three sons and his surviving brother Gordon, along with his three granddaughters.
