Beloved Husband of the late Jeanette, Father of Marion, Fred and David-John, cherished Grandfather to Loris, Harry, Kristian & Jeannine and Great Grandfather to Zac & Imogen.

Funeral Service on Friday 12th June 2026, Exeter Crematorium, 11.30am, in St Peter's Chapel.

No Dress Code

You are welcome to join a convoy of bikers as a final tribute, leaving Holloway Street at 11am on Friday 12th June and heading to Exeter Crematorium.

Family flowers only.

My sincerest condolences.
My apologies if I have the wrong man but if this is captain David taffy Hayward, woodwork teacher at heles high school mid 80s then this man was brilliant, a true gentleman. during a lesson of which I didn’t attend often he took me into the store room to remind me how to be a young gentleman with my girlfriend at that time, never forgot that or him, again my deepest sympathy.
