Margery HAYTON (Marg) (nee Holden) Of Westbourne, Haslingden (formerly Rawsthorne Ave) died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 86. Marg was born in Rossendale on October 15, 1936, the only child of William and Margaret Holden. Marg spent the majority of her life living and working in Rossendale, spending her school days in Haslingden before leaving school to work at Mullards, then running the family newsagents on Deardengate in Haslingden and later her own Boutique in Stacksteads. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Denise, her son, Anthony and their families. A service will be held at Accrington Crematorium at 11am on Tuesday, September 5. The family ask for family flowers only with any donations to Rossendale PHAB in Waterfoot for whom Marg was a volunteer for over 30 years.
