GertrudeHARGREAVESIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Trudy, on Wednesday 31st January 2024, aged 88 years. Trudy leaves behind many loved ones, wife of the late John Hargreaves, mother of Kath, mother in law of John, grandmother of Sarah and Daniel, great grandmother of Kane and Brandon, sister of Evelyn, sister in law of Barrie, Irene and June, auntie of Lisa, Melanie, Darren, Pat, Peter, Susan, David and John, special cousin and friend of Michael also a great friend to many. Trudy will be sadly missed. She enjoyed working and worked all her life as weaver at Enfield and Hilden and then in the remnants shop at Oswaldtwistle Mills. Trudy loved to travel, and did so until her later years, La Manga in Spain was her little paradise, where she built up strong friendships within the community. She liked dining out, reading, social media, Netflix and Sudoku puzzles, however her family were the love and cornerstone of her life along with her close friends and neighbours. The funeral cortege will leave from Trudy's home on Monday 12th February at 12.35pm prior to a 1.00pm service and cremation at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations if so desired to Homewise Society, Unit 3, Allied House, Burnley Road, Clayton Le Moors, Accrington.
