SarahFLANAGANSarah (Sally) Elizabeth Flanagan, of Woodlands Care Home, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10, age 97, with her family by her side, at Royal Blackburn Hospital. Sally worked at the Miller family bakery during the war, then at Higham’s Mill, and at John Thwaites builders and civil engineers. She enjoyed crown green bowling, classical music and reading. Much loved wife of the late Frank and mother of the late Robert and Andrew, Sally leaves behind son Stephen, grandchildren Rachel, Lisa, James and Kate and great-grandchildren Anna, Erin and Oliver. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 29 at 1pm at Accrington Crematorium, led by Neil Overton. Family flowers only please, with donations if desired to Woodlands Amenities c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
