Your ever loving Wife Dorothy, Sons Alan and the Late Ian, Daughter-in-Laws Karen and Tammy, Grandchildren Penny, Alan, Rachel, Alex, Alan, Ceri, Jodie, his Sister Maureen and Great Grandchildren Callum, Francesca, Leah and Oscar.

Top man. He was my instructor at Bruche in 1976. He had a wicked sense of humour and was an incredibly motivated instructor. I saw him turn non swimmers into life savers in just a few weeks. I also looked up his history in the Royal Marines and that too was predictably impressive. RIP RM.

Ernie was both my cadet instructor and Bruche instructor. Never asked you to do anything he couldn’t do. Taught me to swim. Have the fondest memories and greatest admiration for him. R.I.P

The greatest athlete I ever had the privilege of knowing and serving with. I was just one of Ernies Bruche probationaries. Him and Mr Hope turned me from a none swimmer to a qhalified lifeguard in thirteen weeks. I will never forget Ernie Storr. I am 72 now. He was our hero.
