My mother, my sister and myself are very sad indeed to learn about Mr. Eddershaws pasing.
I myself, have always cherished th book ,"The history of the London Bus", very exiting reading for me as a kid! I still from time to time, have a break from the hectic life I live, sit down in my sofa, with the book, some good music, and a wee drop of Highland single malt.
I believe Basil and my late father, Thorstein, did sample some McAllen in their days.
A kind, honest, remarkable man has left this earth. We wish him a safe journey to the next
I remember with joy when he came driving from his cottage i South Norway to visit at our home in Tønsberg, the oldest town in Norway.
He was graceful, and a true friend to my father and mother. My father worked at the Norwegian Ministry of safety, and he met Basil thru treir work in the oil industry. That evolved to a strong friendship and mutual respekt.
My sister and me, having lived in Texas, called him "Oj dear", with reference to this (Queen) English.
