Brian WynnCLOUGHPassed peacefully in the presence of loving Wife Eunice and the care of nurses at home in Abergele, on 11th June 2026, aged 71, after a 6 year battle with cancer. An intimate and beautiful service was held at The Eternal Forest in Boduan. Brian will be dearly missed by Wife Eunice, Son Flynn & Daughter-in-law Jennifer, Beloved step children Yvonne and Paul, Nephews Jon and Anthony, and Grand Children, Jamie, Sion and Bryn.
Remembering Brian:
Brian was known to most as a quiet and thoughtful person, he was intelligent and kind hearted, and always put others before himself. He was the kind of person who would go out of the way to help people if he saw there was something he could offer, or do to help. Brian had a passion for the outdoors and would look forward to family hiking adventures on the weekends, famously singing the theme tune to Indiana Jones if he felt an adventure was nearby. As Brian got older and wasn't able to hike as he once could, his passion turned to railway journeys across North Wales, being immersed in the landscape he loved along with Wife Eunice, exploring the beautiful Welsh landscape in comfort. Though Brian had many hobbies like railways journeys, fixing watches, northern soul music, genealogy, watching football and puzzle games. One of his favourite things to do was record and watch woodpeckers in the garden, he felt a kinship with birds, like his father Gerald before him, who bread birds for a living. Woodpeckers seemed to be the type of bird that adopted him. Like a woodpecker, Brian was strong, resilient and hard working. Despite painful arthritis in his hands, spending the last 30 years of his working life as a mechanic for Conwy Land Rover. Brian was also known as Cluffy to some, like boss and friend of many years Phil Devilleforte, who is sadly no longer with us. But Brian's hobbies didn't end at home or out in nature, his whole adult life, he was part of local Pool teams, and earlier in life, Darts teams, racking up quite a number of trophies for his efforts.
The last 6 years:
It's important to remember that through multiple treatments, with the help of the wonderful Dr Carey and staff at the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, Brian had 6 more years of life, enjoying quality time with Wife Eunice and family and adventures both here in Wales and in Canada with Son Flynn and Daughter-in-law Jennifer. Without those years, Brian and Eunice would't have been Whale watching, flown in a sea plane, revisited places like Portmeirion and Betws Y coed, experienced Canada or enjoyed their 6 years of retirement together. And as a family we want to thank everyone who helped Brian gain and enjoy those special years.
Sometimes heroes come in all forms, from life saving emergency workers to good Samaritans on the street. But sometimes, they come in the form of a father who works hard fixing vehicles every day struggling with arthritic hands to provide for his family. That was my Dad. Just like many parents, My Dad was a hero because everything he did, he did for us.
You will be greatly missed Dad, you were loved and appreciated in life, and you are loved and appreciated in death. Missing you always.
