AlanBLACKERWords from Wife, Janice.
‘You were my life - 2 hearts beating as 1.
My heart is broken. How will I carry on without you. It was me and you.
You and me we spent every hour together.
24 years of happiness and love.
Even with your illness COPD you never complained. Didn’t stop you enjoying the holidays, weekends, the company of our many friends.
The room lit up when you entered. You were so funny and entertaining. Great memories that will live with me forever.
Now at peace with your mum, dad and brothers.
See you later in paradise. Love you forever, Jan.
Night, God Bless.’
Funeral to be held Friday 22nd August, 12pm @ Gedling Crematorium. Celebration of life to be continued at The Pelican.
Family flowers only, donations will be made to COPD and Cancer Research UK.
Alan has made a special request — that there be no black at his funeral. I know, we were surprised too. But if you knew Alan, you know he lit up every room he walked into, and he’d want us to do the same for him.
With that in mind, please wear something that you feel best honours him. Alan loved colour, and in keeping with his vibrant spirit — and to show support for the COPD charity (whose colour is orange) — we’d love it if you could include something orange in what you wear, if possible.
Let’s come together to celebrate Alan’s life the way he would have wanted: bright, warm, and full of love.
