John PeterAWTY(Former Deputy Head of St Johns Church School in Golcar)

On 8th October 2023 unexpectedly at home, Peter aged 99 years of Upper Denby.

Beloved Husband of the late Nancy, devoted Father of Graeme, Malcolm and Melanie also a dear Father-In-Law, Grandad of Sarah, Patrick, John, Michael and Angela, Great Grandad of Sebastian, Rafe, Dexter, Ira and Cian and Brother-In-Law of Geoffrey.

Funeral service and committal will be held at Wakefield Crematorium on Thursday 2nd November at 1.20pm.

Family flowers only please by request, donations in lieu if so desired will be shared between Denby Ladies and the Denby Dale Centre for which a plate will be available after the service.

Peter was a dedicated teacher and a much loved colleague. He will be remembered by the children he taught at St Johns School and by all the parents and the staff he worked alongside during his time at the school
