I want to talk about Sophie my best friend, my partner in crime, my chosen family.

Sophie was the kind of person who made life lighter. She had this way of finding the funny in any situation and once she started laughing, there was no stopping either of us. We laughed until our stomachs hurt, sometimes over things that probably made no sense to anyone else, but to us, they were everything.

She was brilliant at that turning ordinary moments into memories I’ll never forget. Whether we were driving around singing our hearts out or going shopping it always felt like time with her was time well spent. Because Sophie brought joy wherever she went.

But more than just being funny, she was kind. She listened. She cared deeply. She had this gift for knowing when you were struggling —and somehow, she’d always make it better. Sometimes just by being there. Sometimes by distracting you with something completely ridiculous. It always worked.

Losing Sophie feels unreal. It feels heavy. Like the world just got a little dimmer.

But I’m so grateful I got to be part of her life. I carry her with me in all those memories, in all the laughs, and in all the ways she shaped who I am just by being my friend.

I miss her more than words can say. But I will never stop loving her. And I will never stop laughing at the things we shared because that’s what Sophie would want. For the love to stay. And for the laughter to go on.

Thank you, Sophie fly high Sophie and give your mother a big hug and kiss
This isn’t goodbye it’s see you in other life

Love you Alice
