David was a brilliant father in law to me and an excellent grandad to our kids. I knew him for almost half my own lifetime. We shared many things in common from walking to talking (especially about what’s going on in the news) . He would so often travel up north to visit us and stay over and often came and listened to the bands we played In particularly the brass band. He was and is and always will be loved by our kids and appreciated for so much for his caring, advice and his amazing building skills. David was a great man who will be greatly missed and who will be remembered for so many things including so much goodness in his heart..
