Kate
I’ve written this a few times and keep deleting it ! I’ve never been as intelligent or Witty as you Woody. Kate to many but always Woody to me from our days at Penrhos Junior School. You were always thoughtful, strong and kind with a little bit of bossiness in there ……
Thoughtful ….. only last month when you were so poorly you sent me a beautiful rose plant when my dog died. It’s planted in my garden and I’ll always think of you when I water it and watch it grow, it’s got the most beautiful peach roses on it.
Strong - wow, did you fight. You never wanted to die. You gave it everything Woody to try to beat it.
Kind - you gave me your precious time over the last few years. This time was so special. You could have kept it to yourself, Mike, William, George and Anne but you shared this time with me and others. Thank you .
Bossy - in the most positive way!!! At juniors we had gardens- you were my partner. We loved our garden and tended to it every day after prep. We used a plastic bag as a lining to make a pond, in hope that we’d get frogs and tadpoles. We grew sweet peas - they were beautiful. One day I cut some of the flowers to give to Miss Hassle ( the headmistress ) You were so cross at me - you made me cello tape them back on….. which I did . In seniors I was a little wayward. You kept putting me back on the track - I always valued and listened to you - you were always right.
I’ll miss you so very much and I’m so grateful for our friendship. To your family - I’m sorry for your loss, I’m so thankful that you were all there to support her at the end. I know all our wonderful memories of Kate will put a smile on our faces when we need it. Much love ❤️
