Denis StanleyTHORNEDenis passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle on Tuesday 1st July 2025 aged 87 years.
Beloved husband of Harriett, loving brother of Joyce, brother-in-law to the late Arthur, father of Ian and Sarah and extended family daughters Rhonda, Christine, Sharon, Linda and Lesley and their respective partners. Uncle, dedicated grandad and great-grandad to many. Denis was much loved and respected by his family and all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
A service to celebrate Denis's life is to take place at St. Peter's Church, Humberston on Wednesday 16th July at 1 pm. This will be followed by a private family committal.
All those attending are welcome to join us at the wake to reminisce and talk about the good times, details will be provided during the church service.
We ask those wishing to send flowers to request fresh cut flowers only, free of cellophane, ribbons and other non-biodegradable materials due to Woodland Burial to help maintain the environment. Alternatively, donations will be welcome to The Alzheimer's Society online or a donation box will be provided at the church after the service.
