Rest in peace my dear dad. We had our ups and downs didn’t we but we both knew how much love we had for each other. I’ll never forget our most recent conversation nor those conversations I had with my dear uncle Jack. I feel your presence here often. I hope you hear my responses when you tamper with the lights. I always remember so many funny times we had and your hilarious laugh when you mostly had your rifle hanging out the back room window encouraging the seagulls to come down. Oh the things we remember eh! If only I’d have had been told by so called family that it was nearly your time and then I’d have been there by your side too. To be able to see you at the chapel of rest will never be enough because I had so much I still needed to say and so many memories to remind you of but that time will come in another life. Nobody should have ever taken that away from me despite whatever differences they had with me. There’s not a day goes by where I don’t miss you or just hearing your funny songs. I miss hearing you say, ‘is that a coffee you’re making Gem?’ and singing lord put the frogs on the toads. Love you forever and always. You’ll always be a part of me and your five beautiful grandchildren xx
