MavisRUDGEMum, Mommabear, Nanny Rudge, Auntie Mave, Our Mave, Mave, Mavis, Mave the Rave are all the names that Mavis was known by to all those that loved her.
Born on the 10th January 1937 to Eliza Ellen (Nellie) and Albert Swift and passed away on 29th July 2025 surrounded in love.
In 1960 two became one when Mavis and Brian married. They were married for 60 years and were the devoted parents to their only daughter Ellen and in 2006 became parents to their son-in-law Emrah.
Mavis- a Christian all her life who radiated love, warmth, care, acceptance and compassionate to all, was also a strong, fiercely independent, courageous and determined woman.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory, united with her beloved husband, Brian.
A service to celebrate her life will take place on Friday 29th August at 2pm at St Thomas' Church, Kimberworth and afterwards she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Brian in Kimberworth Cemetery.
