I first met Dave 20 years ago and we began walking with friends every weekend. We’ve walked miles and visited many wonderful places across north Wales. Dave was fit, knowledgeable of nature and the country and proved to be very good company. Dave was also a hard working and successful businessman and, to his credit, provided employment for 35 people and, through this, a decent living for many families. Throughout his business career he never made any of his employees redundant. He ran his business as a family and was much respected for his firm but compassionate approach. Dave was an accomplished craftsman and his hand made carts are a great testament to his skill, dedication and patience. Dave was a very good friend and he will be sadly missed by Megan whom he thought the world of and by his friends and former colleagues. May he rest in peace. Peter Bolton, Abergele.
