Brian GeorgeMARTINof Fern Hill House Care Home, passed away on June 2, aged 87 years. Brian was a plumber and was self-employed for many years. He retired from J & J Ormerod, where he worked as a plumber (maintenance). In his early years he worked at Lancashire Sock Shop and later for the NHS at various hospitals as a plumber. Brian enjoyed football, cricket and watching wildlife programmes. He liked to play bowls at Bacup Park. Brian was married to Doreen who passed away a year ago. He leaves behind his daughter Sylvia, son-in-law Trevor, son Jason, grandchildren Thomas, Wayne, Chris and his partner Tash. Great-grandchildren Spencer, Jensen, Niamh, Aoife, Erin. A service will be held on June 26 at Accrington Crematorium at 1pm, conducted by Cathy Unsworth. Donations to WWF and Dementia UK.
