PeterLEWISLEWIS, Peter Raymond Land C.P.M. After five years of long, devastating ill health, Peter died at home on January 21, 2004, aged 81. Dearly loved husband of Betty, kind and loving father of Susan (Tanner), and Michael, grandfather of Thomas and William and father in law of Katie and Andrew. Retired Headmaster of the Park School, Bath, retired Senior Assistant Commissioner, Northern Rhodesia and Zambia Police forces; founding member of the Bath Independent Guest Houses Association and always proud to have been a Commando in WWII. There will be a celebration of his life at Haycombe Crematorium, on Monday, February 2, at 12.00. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, to the Royal British Legion, c/o G Mannings Funeral Directors, Oxford House, North Road, Combe Down, Bath, Telephone 01225 837955.

I remember Peter Lewis very fondly as a teacher. He helped develop in me a love of literature that has never diminished and two of my dearest possessions are books of poetry given to me by him when I left the Park School in 1982.
