JanetIRVINGSadly, after a long illness, which she endured with courage and great positivity, Jan passed away on 12 September 2025 at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby. The family would like to thank the oncology team and the staff in the High Dependency Unit for their care.

Jan was a much-loved wife to Roger, mum to Jamie, Kirsten and the late Tamsin, mother-in-law to Adela, and companion to dogs Penny and Bailey (both deceased). A teacher, flower-arranger, art-lover, friend and community volunteer, she was always generous with her time and support.

Following a short service at Great Grimsby Crematorium at 12 noon on 21 October, there will be a celebration of Jan's life at 2.30 p.m. at St Mary's Church in Marshchapel, the village where she lived for over 45 years. Friends and family are very welcome at both events. Mourners are welcome to wear bright colours and flowers or traditional attire.

Jan is in the care of Armstrong & Fraser Independent Family Funeral Directors, 57- 67 Queen St, Louth LN11 9BJ.

The family welcomes donations for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Visit Jan's tribute page at tinyurl.com/39bx8ewf.

My sincere condolences to all Jan's family. It is with real sadness that I learned that Jan had lost her battle with cancer.
We were both members of NAFAS flower groups and we shared the same passion.
She will be greatly missed.
