Me and Dave shared some crazy times together and many a weekend in a beer drinking establishment in Munich or Berlin
His humour was second to none I’m laughing now just thinking of all those comical moments which was a big part of Dave’s character

Hello Rachel Vicki Mike
Over the years I dont think we ever met. As with Basher and Geoff I was saddened to hear of Dave's passing. As with everyone had loads of laughs with Dave and loads of political discussions (arguments lol). First met Dave in Munich in 86 and worked with him a few more times over the years in Munich and Berlin. I remember daft things like him doing the sound of music tour and Rachel sharing the same middle name as my daughter Rachel Jane. We also shared adventures like the parachute jump! What a day that was. A myriad of stories come to mind. Could write a book.
My sincere condolences to you Vicky and Mike.

The very sad news of Dave's passing has unfortunately only just reached me here in Germany and I am just stunned to hear about it. There is so much I can say about Dave, he is a total legend. I first met him whilst working together in Derby and he played a huge part in me starting work out here in Germany with him. It was a very difficult time for me and I could not have done it without Dave's support. We share so may laughs together over the few years that I knew him, I still think about them very often. Those early days in Berlin were quite happy and I remember taking Vicky, Rachel and Mike swimming on Friday evenings, then stopping for a kebab on the way home. We also worked together in Munich, which was a city that Dave truly loved and I think his memories of Germany are centred around that city. I can honestly say that Dave was someone that made a lasting impression on my life and I feel so sad not to have met up with him again. I know it is a little late now but send my heartfelt condolences to the whole family, especially Vicky, Rachel and Mike. If anyone has a contact I would love to hear from them. They can contact me on [email protected]
